No, not exactly what you were thinking. But prostitution just the same.

I'm talking about resumes, career fairs, all that crap. As I prepare for my first grad school recruiting blitz, I'm getting the same speeches from teachers about cover letters, objectives, and making good impressions. It feels like a cattle call.

Is there a better way to get a job, or will I have to don the suit and tie and "get myself out there"?

I think it depends on your field and what not. Although most business job involve a lot of selling yourself, which is kinda sad.
