the pick-up artist show tactics actually work... I don't use the show's methods because they are a tad too mainstream now. I read a book called "The Game" by Neil Strauss (who was taught and is best friends with Mystery, the host of Pick-up Artist)... it's like the Bible for the art of seduction. It can also work in pretty much any business or professional situation too (leaving out the actual seduction part of course)
it's basically value-building and confidence display that is at the heart of seduction. You demonstrate your value through various knowledge/skills to the woman (in subtle ways, not just declaring your value), you show value socially through the relations you have with your peers at the venue (that's why most seduction techniques have the infamous 'wingman' who backs you up and sets-up the seducer up for value-demonstrations), and you show your confidence and display this confidence throughout the night (this can include confidant body language display, knowing when to make the right move, knowing when NOT to make a move, etc.)
then there's little tricks like cold reading a girl and showing you seem to 'know' everything about them, it's a classic trick used by magician's... using broad/vague language and reading the various ticks and displays of personality a girl naturally shows... building physical kino (i.e. touching her hand, brushing her arm, etc.) and continually building this physical connection throughout the night.... and there's the "ambiguous put-down" that puts the girl's self-confidence off-kilter while making you look more confidant for saying it (i.e. 'You have a beautiful face but your nose curves slightly to the right')
....and if I said anything more, you girls would become too educated in the male art of seduction.... just trust me, it works pretty much every time (though one misstep can cost the guy their particular target for the night.... and thus the guy would have to find a new target). It's almost a science (a 'social' science, if you will).
