So you know when you go to an amazing concert, and then come back and tell everybody, "yeah I went to this amazing concert, so-and-so performed and rocked it out," and everybody is like, "um, never heard of him." Or when you discover a great new band and your friends just don't get the appeal? What's your favorite music find that has yet to catch on with your friends?

Mine is Devendra Banhart. http://www.devendrabanhart.com/ is his site...Devendra is definitely eclectic, and if you're into top 40 music, you probably won't like him. But if you're into indie rock or just exploring new and different music, check him out. He does a lot of songs in Spanish, which I like. His earlier stuff is really weird, and recorded in a basement or something. His more recent album, Smokey Rolls Down Thunder Canyon, has a much higher production value and is much more put-together and cohesive, without selling out. I saw him perform in Detroit when he was touring for Smokey Rolls...and along with his band, it was the best show I've ever seen. Really, words cannot describe. They were just a really talented bunch of people out to do a great show and make sure that the whole audience enjoyed themselves. Anyway, check it out and tell me about your new music!

Paris Combo is soooo good. They're a new, smooth, jazzy-like French band. Very cool. Highly recommended.

Signs of Betrayal - Hands down, amazing rock band. They need some notice.

RED - They're beginning to get some national attention, I've been following them since their first album.

Some By Sea

sooo amazing. They were based out of Seattle-ish area. They broke up a couple years ago, but you can still listen to their stuff.

Man Man has such a great energy when they're on stage, I love them.

Why? is also a great band. Their CD Oaklandazulasylum is really weird, but catchy.
